Daewoo Motors’ Warranties Could Be Up in Air.

Since Daewoo Motors filed for bankruptcy in May, owners have had trouble getting their cars serviced. Dealerships say they are not being reimbursed, and they can’t possibly service cars if they’re not getting paid for it. The Attorney General’s Office has not received any complaints from Daewoo owners, but staff there has looked into the situation. |

GM employees’ suit gets class status.
Michigan employees of General Motors who buy a lemon from their employer are one step closer to gaining the right to sue GM instead of having to arbitrate their claims. A suburban Detroit judge has granted class-action status to a lawsuit challenging a requirement by General Motors for binding arbitration for warranty and repair-related claims by participants in its employee discount program in Michigan.
